First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Skin contact

Should the activated product come into contact with skin, remove contaminated clothing immediately. Rinse skin with plenty of water. Seek medical attention if any discomfort occurs.

Symptoms: Once activated, risk of skin irritation and corrosion.

Eye contact

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do so. Continue rinsing.

Symptoms: Risk of serious damage to eyes.

Ingestion

If swallowed, wash mouth out thoroughly and give water to drink. Seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting unless instructed by medical personnel.

Immediate Medical Attention

Seek immediate medical attention.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical and foam

Specific hazards

This powder is an oxidising agent, and my increase the rate of burning of combustible materials. May produce flammable vapours on contact with water. When heated sufficiently, product may decompose to form smoke and toxic fumes, gases or vapours. Contact with water will produce irritant materials (peracetic acid and acetic acid).

Firefighter Protection

Fire fighters should wear an approved self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing.

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear eye protection when using this product to avoid splashing in eyes (see section 8). Use according to the instructions for use.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from direct sunlight in low humidity. Keep away from combustible materials. Do not store open sachets. Once activated, liquid is intended to be used immediately and not stored. Keep out of reach of children.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Good ventilation is recommended.

Hands

Gloves are recommended. Consult manufacturers concerning breakthrough times.

Eyes

Eye protection is recommended. PPE should be to European (EN) standards.

Skin/Body

Where more extensive contact may occur, wear suitable protective clothing (e.g. Apron).

Environmental

None anticipated or expected to be required.
