First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Remove to fresh air. IF exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention.
Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Symptoms: May cause an allergic skin reaction.
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Do not rub affected area. If symptoms persist, call a physician. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
Do NOT induce vomiting. Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician.
Medical Treatment
May cause sensitization in susceptible persons. Treat symptomatically.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Dry chemical. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Water spray. Alcohol resistant foam.
CAUTION: Use of water spray when fighting fire may be inefficient.
Risk of ignition. Keep product and empty container away from heat and sources of ignition. Product is or contains a sensitizer. May cause sensitization by skin contact.
In the event of fire, cool tanks with water spray.
Firefighter Protection
Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full firefighting turnout gear. Use personal protection equipment.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Stop leak if you can do it without risk.
Keep out of drains, sewers, ditches and waterways.
Dam up. Soak up with inert absorbent material. Pick up and transfer to properly labeled containers.
Materials: inert absorbent material
