First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell.

Symptoms: May cause drowsiness or dizziness.

Skin contact

Not expected to present a significant skin hazard under anticipated conditions of normal use. In case of skin irritation, stop using the product. When symptoms occur: rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Symptoms: Not expected to present a significant skin hazard under anticipated conditions of normal use.

Eye contact

Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms: Causes serious eye irritation, redness, itching, tears, stinging.

Ingestion

Not expected to present a significant ingestion hazard under anticipated conditions of normal use. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Do not induce vomiting/risk of damage to lungs exceeds poisoning risk. Give water to drink.

Symptoms: Ingestion is not considered a potential route of exposure.

Immediate Medical Attention

If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.

Medical Treatment

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Dry powder. Water spray or fog.

Unsuitable media

Do not use a heavy water stream.

Specific hazards

Flammable aerosol. Pressurised container: May burst if heated. Containers may explode if incinerated. Undamaged aerosols are unlikely to be the cause of fire, but they can be ignited in a fire situation and contribute fuel to a fire. Aerosols containing flammable materials may produce a fierce fire with toxic gases evolved such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

Instructions

Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers. Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire. Avoid fire-fighting water entering the environment. Evacuate area. Eliminate all ignition sources if safe to do so. Cool down the containers exposed to heat with a water spray. Fight fire remotely due to the risk of explosion.

Firefighter Protection

Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Evacuate area. Eliminate ignition sources. Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas.

Small spill

Small quantities of liquid spill: take up in non-combustible absorbent material and shovel into container for disposal. Store away from other materials. Transfer to suitable containers for recovery or disposal according to local regulations then flush area with plenty of water.

Environmental

Prevent leakage or further spillage if safe to do so. Prevent escaping material from entering drains or water courses.

Cleanup methods

take up in non-combustible absorbent material and shovel into container for disposal. Flush area with plenty of water.

Materials: non-combustible absorbent material
