First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell.

Symptoms: Excessive inhalation of solvent vapours may give rise to nausea, headaches and dizziness

Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing immediately and drench affected skin with plenty of water. Then wash with soap and water. Seek medical advice.

Symptoms: Irritating to skin May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Symptoms : redness and pain

Eye contact

If substance has got into eyes, immediately wash out with plenty of water. Seek medical advice.

Symptoms: May cause irritation. Symptoms : redness and pain

Ingestion

If swallowed do not induce vomiting because of risk of aspiration into the lungs. If aspiration is suspected obtain immediate medical attention.

Symptoms: After vomiting of swallowed product aspiration into lungs is likely. Solvents may induce chemical pneumonia. Symptoms : sore throat, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting

Immediate Medical Attention

Seek medical advice for eye and skin contact. If aspiration is suspected obtain immediate medical attention.
