First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Get medical help immediately. Move away from the environment and immediately into fresh air. If not breathing, do artificial respiration. If breathing difficulties give oxygen.

Skin contact

Get medical help immediately. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes and immediately wash your skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.

Eye contact

Wash immediately with large quantities of water for 15 minutes. If irritation persist call a doctor.

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting. Chemical vapors may escape during lungs. Immediately give 1-2 cups of water or milk to the person. If consciousness is off, never give anything. Get medical help urgently.

Symptoms: May cause nausea, vomiting.

Immediate Medical Attention

Get medical help immediately.

Medical Treatment

It is treated according to the symptoms.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Extinguish with water spray, foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand, dolomite or other inert material.

Unsuitable media

Water with full jet.

Specific hazards

Vapours may form explosive mixture with air at room temperature. Vapours are heavier than air and may spread near ground to sources of ignition.

Instructions

Cool containers exposed to flames with water until well after the fire is out.

Firefighter Protection

Avoid breathing fire vapours.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Evacuate personnel to a safe area.

Environmental

Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course. Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

Cleanup methods

Absorb spillage with Sand or vermiculite, collect in waste containers in accordance with local/national regulations and transport to a safe area for disposal. Wash the contaminated area with plenty of water.

Materials: Sand or vermiculite

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not breathe vapour or vapor cloud.

Storage

Store in a well-ventilated, cool, dry place away from sparks, flames or other sources of ignition. Storage area away from fire, sparks and it must be a cool place with air flow.

Hygiene

No eating, drinking and smoking in work areas. Washing hands after use. Removal of contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering food areas.

Fire prevention

Keep away from ignition sources. Absolutely no smoking.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Carry it according to industrial hygiene and safety regulations.

Hands

Wear suitable protective gloves when working with this material.

Eyes

Avoid contact with eyes. Wear tight, chemical resistant goggles.

Respiratory

Use respiratory equipment and devices that have been tested and approved in accordance with the standard. If ventilation is insufficient suitable respiratory protection must be provided. Seek advice and recommendations of the manufacturer or supplier of equipment. If exposure limits are exceeded or if irritant is observed, approved organic vapor respirator should be used. Use an approved respirator in environments with high concentrations and insufficient oxygen. Fully shielded breathing apparatus must be available for release.

Skin/Body

Avoid contact with skin. Depending on the conditions of use, equipment such as face masks and aprons may be required.
