Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Keep container tightly closed. If any hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is detected during use of the product, evacuate the workplace to a very well-ventilated area and call the Emergency Response Team.

Storage

Keep only in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Hygiene

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Contact with acids liberates very toxic gas. Always work in a well-ventilated area; ensure that all packages and equipment where the dyes will be used are clean and free of contamination with undesired substances, particularly acids.

Fire prevention

Keep away sources of ignition.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Hands

Gloves (alkali-resistant) Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).

Eyes

Tightly fitting safety goggles

Skin/Body

Alkali-resistant protective clothing
