First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
In case of irritation of respiratory system with lithium combustion aerosols move to fresh air, loose tight clothing to relieve breathing, if no circulation, begin chest compressions. Call for a doctor. In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in lateral position for transportation
Symptoms: irritates respiratory organs
Flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes and seek for medical assistance
Symptoms: irritates skin
Immediately remove the substance with a cotton ball or cotton cloth, then flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes. Run the water jet from the outer eye corner (temple) towards the inner (towards the nose). Do not rub eyes. Seek for medical assistance
Symptoms: irritates eyes
Remove substance from mouth, rinse mouth with plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting! Immediately call a doctor
Symptoms: Ingestion causes severe problems as vomiting may damage digestive canal and/or respiratory passages.

Firefighting Measures

Never leave extinguished fire unattended. After all material has apparently burned and cooled, carefully turn over remaining residue and be prepared to reextinguish should reaction occur. Carefully place the residue in steel drum using a long-handled shovel and cover with extinguishing media
Firefighter Protection
Wear NIOSH approved full protective gear and a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). It is required to protect against heating, combustion products, and lack of oxygen. To inhale fire smoke, gas, or fumes is strictly forbidden.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Block-off the dangerous area within the radius of at least 200 m. Remove unauthorized persons. Provide first aid to injured.
Do not drain water to waste channels. Dispose the waste at special waste management sites
