First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

If inhaled, immediately remove the affected person to fresh air. Get medical attention.

Skin contact

In case of contact, immediately remove contaminated clothing and flush skin with copious amounts of water. For skin contact, flush with large amounts of water. Seek immediate medical attention.

Eye contact

In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes, and seek immediate medical attention.

Ingestion

DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to a victim who is unconscious or is having convulsions.

Immediate Medical Attention

Seek immediate medical attention.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically and supportively.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water spray (fog), foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable media

Do not direct a solid stream of water or foam into hot, burning pools; this may result in frothing and increase fire intensity.

Specific hazards

Uncontrolled polymerization may occur at high temperatures resulting in explosions or rupture of storage containers. Do not cut, weld, solder, drill, grind, or expose containers to heat, flame, sparks, or other sources of ignition.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective clothing.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Use personal protection recommended in Section 8, isolate the hazard area and deny entry to unnecessary and unprotected personnel.

Environmental

Prevent further leakage or spillage. Do not allow product to enter sewer or waterways.

Cleanup methods

Absorb spill with inert material. Shovel material into appropriate container for disposal.

Materials: inert material

Handling

Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. Avoid breathing vapors or mists of this product. Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not take internally.

Storage

Keep container tightly closed and in a cool, well-ventilated place away from incompatible materials. Do not pressurize, cut, heat or weld containers. Empty product containers may contain product residue. Do not reuse empty containers.

Hygiene

Wash thoroughly after handling.
