Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove to fresh air. Keep person warm and at rest. If not breathing or breathing is irregular or respiratory arrest occurs provide artificial respiratory or oxygen by trained personnel. Give nothing by mouth. If unconscious place in recovery position and seek medical attention.

Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin with plenty of water and soap. Do not use solvents or thinner.

Eye contact

Check for and remove contact lenses. Immediately flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes keeping eyelids open.

Ingestion

If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show the container or this label. Keep person warm and at rest. Do not induce vomiting.

Immediate Medical Attention

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, always seek medical attention. If unconscious place in recovery position and seek medical attention. If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show the container or this label.

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not breathe in vapour/spray. Do not smoke, eat or drink in areas where the product is used.

Storage

Keep container tightly closed. Never use compressed air for emptying containers. Tightly close used containers and store on end to avoid leakage. Store in original container in a dry, cool place, away from heating sources and direct sunlight and well away from sources of ignition.

Hygiene

Do not smoke, eat or drink in areas where the product is used.

Fire prevention

Keep product away from sources of ignition, naked lighting and open fire.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Provide sufficient ventilation. Where possible, use adequate natural ventilation or if necessary apply local extraction. Use in well-ventilated place only. If use of product creates spray, vapours or dust, apply local extraction to keep levels below recommended and legal limits. Use explosion-proof extraction equipment!
