First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.

Skin contact

Take off contaminated clothing immediately and wash the skin with plenty of water (possibly showering).

Eye contact

If possible, remove contact lenses. Rinse opened eye for several minutes (at least 15 minutes) under running water.

Ingestion

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Induce vomiting only, if affected person is fully conscious.

Immediate Medical Attention

Consult doctor in case of complaints or if symptoms persist.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.

Unsuitable media

Water spray

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Hands

Only use chemical-protective gloves with CE-labelling of category III. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed. For the permanent contact gloves made of the following materials are suitable: PVA gloves. For the permanent contact of a maximum of 15 minutes gloves made of the following materials are suitable: Fluorocarbon rubber (Viton)

Eyes

Goggles recommended during refilling

Respiratory

Not necessary if room is well-ventilated. Not required.

Skin/Body

Protective work clothing. Anti-static clothing

Environmental

Prevent spills from reaching surface waters or soil.
