First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm. In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.

Skin contact

Take off contaminated clothing immediately and wash the skin with plenty of water (possibly showering).

Eye contact

Rinse opened eye for several minutes (at least 15 minutes) under running water. If possible, remove contact lenses.

Ingestion

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Induce vomiting only, if affected person is fully conscious.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions. All extinguishing media are possible.

Specific hazards

Carbon monoxide can arise from incomplete combustion.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.

Environmental

Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course. Remainder dilute with plenty of water. Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Do not eat, drink or smoke while working. In the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure source, eye wash stations and emergency showers should be available.

Storage

Protect from frost. Store receptacle in fume cupboard.

Hygiene

Do not eat, drink or smoke while working.

Fire prevention

No special measures required.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Hands

Only use chemical-protective gloves with CE-labelling of category III. Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Gloves Neo-Nitrile™ 300 – AQL or 0.65 (level 3). Thickness-0.35 mm. Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

Eyes

Goggles recommended during refilling. Tightly sealed goggles

Respiratory

Not necessary if room is well-ventilated.

Environmental

Prevent spills from reaching surface waters or soil.
