First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Fresh air, rest in half sitting position.

Symptoms: None under normal conditions. Irritation of the bronchial tract, narcotic effects, dizziness and headaches may occur with high vapour concentrations.

Skin contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Symptoms: Prolonged or repeated contact may cause skin to become dry or irritated.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately and for at least 15 minutes with copious amounts of water (also assure adequate flushing under the eyelids and if possible after having removed contact lenses).

Symptoms: Irritation to eyes.

Ingestion

Wash out mouth. Let the victim drink 2 glasses of water on his own.

Symptoms: Abdominal pain. Diarrhea. Nausea. Vomiting. Headache.

Immediate Medical Attention

Seek medical attention if ill effect or irritation develops. Bring the victim to an ophthalmist. Seek medical attention.
