First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.

Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Gently wash with plenty of water. Seek medical attention if ill effect or irritation develops.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs. Symptoms may be delayed. Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

powder, foam, water fog.

Unsuitable media

Do not use water jet.

Specific hazards

Toxic fumes may be released.

Instructions

Evacuate area. Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers. Prevent fire-fighting water from entering the environment.

Firefighter Protection

Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Proper protective equipment including chemical resistant gloves are to be worn; chemical resistant suit is indicated if large contact with spilled product is expected. Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) must be worn when approaching a fire in a confined space. Select fire fighter's clothing approved to relevant Standards (e.g. Europe: EN469).

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
