Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

Engineering Controls

Hand Protection

Glove material: Nitrile rubber. Breakthrough time: 480 min. Glove thickness: 0.45 mm. Remarks: The choice of chemical protective gloves must be made based on the concentration and quantity of hazardous substances specific to the workplace. For special applications, it is recommended to consult the glove manufacturer for the chemical resistance of the protective gloves indicated above. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of the workday.

Eye Protection

Wear the following personal protective equipment: Safety glasses. Equipment must comply with standard EN NBN 166.

Respiratory Protection

If adequate local exhaust ventilation is not available or if the exposure assessment demonstrates exposures beyond recommended guidelines, use respiratory protection. Equipment must comply with standard EN NBN 137. Equipment must comply with standard EN NBN 14387. Filter type: Mixed type protecting against particles and organic vapors (A-P).

Skin/Body Protection

Choose appropriate protective clothing based on chemical resistance data and an assessment of local exposure potential. Wear the following personal protective equipment: If the assessment shows a risk of explosive atmospheres or flash fires, use flame-retardant antistatic protective clothing. It is important to avoid skin contact by using impermeable protective clothing (gloves, aprons, boots, etc.).
