First Aid

Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

Inhalation Exposure

Verse lucht toedienen.

Symptoms:

onregelmatige ademhaling of ademstilstand

Skin Contact

Verontreinigde kleding onmiddellijk uittrekken.

Contactlenzen uitdoen. Medisch advies inwinnen.

Ingestion/Swallowing

Bij inslikken direkt arts raadplegen. Het slachtoffer laten rusten. GEEN braken opwekken.

Immediate Medical Attention Required

Medical Treatment

kunstmatige beademing toepassen

Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

Engineering Controls

Ventilation systems, process enclosures (spray booth) and local exhaust ventilation are required to control spray particles and solvent vapors.

Hand Protection

For prolonged or repeated contact, use chemical-resistant gloves as specified in standard EN 374: Protective gloves against chemicals and microorganisms. Recommended gloves: Nitrile rubber with a minimum breakthrough time of 480 minutes. For prolonged and regular contact, a glove with protection class 6 (breakthrough time > 480 minutes according to EN 374) is recommended. For short contact, a glove with protection class 2 or higher (breakthrough time > 30 minutes according to EN 374) is recommended. Protective creams can help protect exposed skin. Wash thoroughly after skin contact.

Eye Protection

Wearing chemical-resistant safety glasses is mandatory.

Respiratory Protection

If workers are in a spray booth, ventilation must be present for spray particles and solvent vapors. In these circumstances, they must wear a fresh-air hood during the spraying process until the concentration has fallen below the MAC value. A combi-mask P1A1 is also mentioned as protective equipment.

Skin/Body Protection

Personnel must wear protective clothing. Wash thoroughly after skin contact. Work clothing should not consist of textiles that exhibit dangerous melting behavior in case of fire. Wearing anti-static footwear is mandatory.

Environmental Exposure Controls

Refer to national legislation in Chapter 15 for environmental protection regulations.
