First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Frisse lucht, bij aanhoudende klachten arts consulteren.

Symptoms: Slaperigheid en duizeligheid (door dampen).

Skin contact

spoelen onder stromend water met zeep. Verontreinigde kleding onmiddellijk uittrekken.

Symptoms: Roodheid, ontsteking.

Eye contact

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

The product may only be used with intensive ventilation of the workplace. If intensive ventilation is not possible, a self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn.

Hands

Gloves made of nitrile rubber (material thickness >0.1 mm, breakthrough time < 30s) are recommended. Gloves must be replaced after each short-term contact or contamination. Available from specialized laboratory suppliers or pharmacies/chemical stores. For longer contact, butyl rubber gloves according to EN 374 are recommended. Breakthrough time > 10 min, material thickness > 0.3 mm. For longer and repeated contact, it should be noted that the aforementioned penetration time in practice can be significantly shorter than described in EN 374. The protective gloves must in any case be resistant to the specific work use (mechanical and thermal durability, product-adapted, antistatic, etc.). At the first signs of wear, they should be replaced immediately. The manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines must always be followed. We recommend developing an application-specific hand protection plan in cooperation with the glove supplier and the professional federation.

Eyes

Fully enclosed safety goggles. Eye protection must comply with EN 166.

Respiratory

The product may only be used with intensive ventilation of the workplace. If intensive ventilation is not possible, a self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn.

Skin/Body

Suitable safety clothing. Protective clothing must comply with EN 14605 for liquid splashes and EN 13982 for dust.
