In dat geval kan een kortere doorbraaktijd aanvaardbaar zijn zolang de procedures voor toepasselijk onderhoud en tijdige vervanging gevolgd worden. De dikte van de handschoenen is geen goede maat voor de weerstand van de handschoenen tegen een chemische stof, omdat dit afhankelijk is van de exacte samenstelling van het materiaal waarvan de handschoenen gemaakt zijn. De precieze penetratietijd kunt u te weten komen bij de handschoenfabrikant; houd er rekening mee.
