Emergency First Aid Measures
Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies
🫁 Inhalation Exposure
If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen by qualified medical personnel only.
🖐️ Skin Contact
Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If thermal burns are present: Treat all thermal burns with appropriate first aid measures for degree of burn. Cool skin rapidly with cold water, if material is hot. Subcutaneous injection may require surgical treatment. Even though initial symptoms from high pressure injection may be minimal or absent, early surgical treatment within the first few hours may significantly reduce the ultimate extent of injury.
👁️ Eye Contact
In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
🍽️ Ingestion/Swallowing
Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
Fire Fighting Measures & Emergency Response
Fire suppression methods, extinguishing media, and firefighting safety procedures
✅ Suitable Extinguishing Media
Dry chemical; Carbon dioxide (CO2); Foam; water fog.
❌ Unsuitable Extinguishing Media
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
⚠️ Specific Fire Hazards
Closed containers may rupture if exposed to excess heat or flame due to a build-up of internal pressure. Vapours are heavier than air and collect in confined and low-lying areas. Material will float on water and can be re-ignited at the water's surface.
🔥 Fire Fighting Instructions
Move containers from fire area if safe to do so. Firefighters should wear proper protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus with full face piece operated in positive pressure mode. Water spray may be useful in cooling equipment exposed to heat and flame. Avoid spreading burning liquid with water spray used for cooling purposes. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.
🛡️ Firefighter Protection Equipment
Firefighters should wear proper protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus with full face piece operated in positive pressure mode.
Accidental Release Measures & Spill Response
Emergency spill cleanup procedures, containment methods, and environmental protection
🚨 Emergency Procedures
Ventilate area of release. Remove all sources of ignition if safely possible. Contain and absorb spilled liquid with absorbent material (e.g. sand), then place into a container for later disposal. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer.
🌍 Environmental Precautions
Do not allow material to contaminate ground water ahead of the spill to prevent runoff into drains, sewers, drinking water supply. If necessary, dike well or any natural waterway.

Safe Handling & Storage Procedures
Industrial handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace safety requirements
⚠️ Handling Precautions
• Do not breathe fumes or mists.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas.
• Wear protective gloves/clothing and eye/face protection.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
• Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
• Keep away from incompatibles.
• Keep container tightly closed.
• Empty containers retain residue (liquid and/or vapour) and can be dangerous.
• Wash thoroughly after handling.
🏪 Storage Conditions
• Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.
• Keep away from heat.
Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment
🏭 Engineering Controls
Use only in well-ventilated areas. Provide sufficient ventilation to keep vapour concentration below the given TLV and/or PEL.
🧤 Hand Protection
Wear protective gloves. If handling hot material, use insulated protective clothing (boots, gloves, aprons, etc.). Advice should be sought from glove suppliers.
👁️ Eye Protection
Safety goggles or glasses as appropriate for the job.
😷 Respiratory Protection
Respiratory protection is required if the concentrations exceed the TLV. Use NIOSH/MSHA approved equipment. Advice should be sought from respiratory protection specialists.
🦺 Skin/Body Protection
Where extensive exposure to product is possible, use resistant coveralls, apron and boots to prevent contact. If handling hot material, use insulated protective clothing (boots, gloves, aprons, etc.).
