Emergency First Aid Measures
Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies
Inhalation Exposure
Provide fresh air. In case of respiratory tract irritation, consult a physician. In case of inhalation of decomposition products, affected person should be moved into fresh air and kept still.
Skin Contact
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. After contact with molten product, cool skin area rapidly with cold water. Do not peel solidified product off the skin. Immediate medical treatment required because corrosive injuries that are not treated are hard to cure. In case of skin irritation, consult a physician.
Eye Contact
In case of contact with eyes flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart and consult an ophthalmologist. Protect uninjured eye.
Ingestion/Swallowing
If accidentally swallowed rinse the mouth with plenty of water (only if the person is conscious) and obtain immediate medical attention.
Immediate Medical Attention Required
Immediate medical treatment required because corrosive injuries that are not treated are hard to cure. Obtain immediate medical attention if accidentally swallowed.

Engineering Controls
Technical exhaust or ventilation measures should be implemented.
Hand Protection
Suitable material: NBR (Nitrile rubber). Breakthrough time (maximum wearing time): not relevant. Thickness of the glove material: not relevant. Additional hand protection measures: Check leak tightness/impermeability prior to use. Do not wear gloves near rotary machines and tools. Wear cotton undermitten if possible. Take recovery periods for skin regeneration.
Eye Protection
Eye glasses with side protection
Respiratory Protection
If technical exhaust or ventilation measures are not possible or insufficient, respiratory protection must be worn. During filling, metering, mixing and sampling must be used: Half-face mask or quarter facepiece: maximum use concentration for substances with exposure limits: P1 filter: up to a max. of 4 times the exposure limit. P2 filter: up to a max. of 10 times the exposure limit. P3 filter: up to a max. of 30 times the expo. The filter class must be suitable for the maximum contaminant concentration (gas/vapour/aerosol/particulates) that may arise when handling the product. If the concentration is exceeded, self-contained breathing apparatus must be used.
Skin/Body Protection
Suitable protective clothing: lab coat Overall Disposable suit. Remark: Only wear fitting, comfortable and clean protective clothing. Barrier creams are not substitutes for body protection.
