Emergency First Aid Measures
Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies
๐ซ Inhalation Exposure
Obtain medical attention immediately.
๐๏ธ Skin Contact
Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash skin immediately with 0,5 % acetic acid in water, and then with soap and water. Immediate medical treatment is necessary.
Symptoms:
Untreated wounds from corrosion of the skin heal slowly and with difficulty. Skin irritation, if untreated may be prolonged and serious (eg necrosis).
๐๏ธ Eye Contact
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with 0.5% acetic acid in water for a few minutes, followed by rinsing with plenty of water for as long as possible. Eyelids should be held away from the eyeball to ensure thorough rinsing. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse during transport. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing.
Symptoms:
Small amounts splashed into eyes can cause irreversible tissue damage and blindness.
๐ฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing
Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Take victim immediately to hospital. Do not induce vomiting!
Symptoms:
May cause chemical burns in mouth and throat.
๐จ Immediate Medical Attention Required
