First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove the affected individual to fresh air. Keep at rest in the most comfortable position. Obtain medical advice if symptoms continue.

Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with large volumes of water or soap & water. If irritation persists, or sign of tissue damage is apparent obtain medical advice immediately.

Eye contact

Irrigate with water for at least 10 minutes. Obtain medical advice if any irritation or evidence of damage is apparent.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth with water. Give up to one cup (half pint) of milk or water. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain medical advice.

Immediate Medical Attention

Obtain medical advice immediately if irritation persists or sign of tissue damage is apparent (skin exposure). Obtain medical advice if any irritation or evidence of damage is apparent (eye exposure). Obtain medical advice (ingestion). Obtain medical advice if symptoms continue (inhalation).

Medical Treatment

As in all cases of potential poisoning, supportive therapy is of the utmost importance.
