Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

Engineering Controls

Ventilation must be adequate to maintain the ambient workplace atmosphere below the exposure limit(s) outlined in the MSDS. When engineering controls are not feasible, or while they are being implemented, appropriate respiratory protection must be used. Exposure limits vary between Countries and Local jurisdictions; check which exposure limits apply.

Hand Protection

Use abrasive resistant gloves.

Eye Protection

Splash goggles or safety glasses with side shields should be worn.

Respiratory Protection

If respiratory protection is needed, use a dust mask/respirator certified to NIOSH, ANSI (Z88.2), OSHA (29 CFR 1910.134), MSHA (30 CFR Parts 56 and 57), EN 149, AS 1715, Canadian CSA Stadard Z94.4-93, European (E.U.), or individual country standards.

Skin/Body Protection

Use approved safety footwear and suitable protective clothing.
