Notes
Notes H and L (directive 67/548/EEC, annex I) apply.
First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Transport the person into fresh air, keep warm and allow to rest.
Symptoms: Irritation of the respiratory system. At high concentrations: Narcosis.
Wash thoroughly with soap and water. If the skin is exposed to high-pressure spray, the product may enter the human body. In all such cases the affected person must be taken to hospital, even if no sign of injury can be detected.
Symptoms: In case of repeated or prolonged contact with the skin: Dryness. Chapping. Skin irritation.
Wash immediately in copious amounts of water, keeping eyelids apart for at least 15 minutes and consult a specialist.
Symptoms: Burning feeling and temporary redness.
Do not induce vomiting. Generally no special treatment is necessary
Symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pains.
Immediate Medical Attention
If the skin is exposed to high-pressure spray, the product may enter the human body. In all such cases the affected person must be taken to hospital, even if no sign of injury can be detected. If the product is believed to have entered the lungs (in case of vomiting, for example), take the person to hospital for immediate care.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Foam, carbon dioxide (CO2), powder.
Water jet.
Incomplete combustion and thermolysis may produce gases of varying toxicity such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, various hydrocarbons, aldehydes and soot. These may be highly dangerous if inhaled.
Firefighter Protection
Insulated breathing apparatus must be worn in confined premises with heavy concentrations of fumes and gases.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Design installations so as to prevent water and ground pollution. Protect environmentally sensitive areas and water resources.
Recovery: Using physical facilities (pumping, skimming, etc.); contain the spillage and recover using sand or any other type of inert absorbent material: do not dump to the drain. Use flame-proof and explosion-proof material. Elimination: Hand over contaminated materials to an approved collector - see also section 13.
Materials: sand or any other type of inert absorbent material

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Avoid extended and repeated contact with the skin as this may cause skin conditions. Avoid breathing in vapours, fumes or mists. Do not spray at high pressure (> 3 bar). Keep away from combustible substances; keep away from food and beverages.
Store at ambient temperature, protected against contact with water and moisture, and away from any source of ignition. Keep containers closed when not in use.
Keep away from food and beverages.
Empty containers may contain flammable or explosive vapours. There is a fire hazard associated with rags, paper or any other material used to remove spills which become soaked with product. Avoid accumulation of these: they are to be disposed off safely after use.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Use this product in a well-ventilated atmosphere with explosion-proof equipment.
Liquid proof aliphatic solvent resisting gloves : Recommended materials: - In case of splashes or limited contact : Polychloroprene. Thickness > 0.7 mm - Permeation time according to EN 374-3 : > 60 minutes Nitrile. Thickness > 0.3 mm Permeation time according to EN 374-3 : > 60 minutes - In case of prolonged or repeated contact : Nitrile. Thickness > 0.45 mm - Permeation time according to EN 374-3 : > 480 minutes Fluoro polymer and PVA - any thickness. Permeation time according to EN 374-3 : > 480 minutes For more precise details about the choice of appropriate protective glove, please contact the manufacturer.
Goggles, in case of risk of splashing.
In case of risk of exposure exceeding the mean exposure value, an appropriate breathing apparatus must be worn by each individual. In case of vapours or sprays formation: Combined gas cartridge (organic gases and dust, filter A/P2). Be aware that filter protection time is limited.
As required, wear a face mask, hydrocarbon-proof clothing, and safety boots (when handling drums). Don't wear rings, watches or anything similar which can retain the product and may give rise to skin conditions.
