First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell.

Symptoms: Excessive inhalation of solvent vapours may give rise to nausea, headaches and dizziness

Skin contact

Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms: May cause irritation. Symptoms : redness and pain

Eye contact

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms: Irritating to eyes. Symptoms : redness and pain

Ingestion

If swallowed accidentally, do not induce vomiting and seek medical advice.

Symptoms: May cause gastrointestinal disturbances. Symptoms : sore throat, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting
