Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Specific hazards

Flammable liquid and vapour.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Evacuate the area and remove all sources of ignition. Use personal protective equipment. Avoid breathing vapours, mist or gas. Ensure adequate ventilation. Beware of vapours accumulating to form explosive concentrations. Vapours can accumulate in low areas.

Environmental

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.

Cleanup methods

Collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and place in container for disposal according to local regulations. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pick up is complete.
