First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

After inhalation remove to fresh air. If breathing stops apply artificial respiration and oxygen mask if available. Arrange medical treatment.

Skin contact

Wash with water, clean with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing.

Eye contact

Flush eyes with a large volume of water. Ensure sufficient flushing by separating the eyelids if necessary. Arrange medical treatment.

Ingestion

If swallowed, wash mouth with water. Drink plenty of water and induce vomiting (not if acid that is, stop reagent is ingested or if unconscious patient). Arrange medical treatment.

Immediate Medical Attention

Arrange medical treatment.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water, dry powder or vaporizing liquids (e.g. CO₂) depending on the surrounding materials and equipment.

Specific hazards

Non-combustible. Fire may liberate hazardous vapors, i.e. sulfur oxides, nitrous gases or nitrogen oxides.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Environmental

Flush with water upon disposal.

Cleanup methods

Spillage should be adsorbed by damp paper towels
