First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Take the victim into fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Skin contact

In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention immediately if irritation develops and persists.

Symptoms: Causes burns.

Eye contact

Call a physician immediately. In case of eye contact, remove contact lens and rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.

Symptoms: May cause irreversible eye damage.

Ingestion

Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.

Symptoms: If ingested, severe burns of the mouth and throat, as well as a danger of perforation of the oesophagus and the stomach.

Immediate Medical Attention

Call a physician immediately (eye contact). Get medical attention immediately if irritation develops and persists (skin contact). Get medical attention immediately (ingestion). If symptoms persist, call a physician (inhalation).
