Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. In case of eczema or other skin disorders: Seek medical attention and take along these instructions.

Symptoms: Skin irritation. May cause redness and pain. May cause allergic skin reaction. Dermatitis. Rash.

Eye contact

Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.

Symptoms: Causes serious eye irritation. Symptoms may include stinging, tearing, redness, swelling, and blurred vision.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water fog. Foam. Dry chemical powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2).

Unsuitable media

Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.

Specific hazards

Dust may form explosive mixture with air. During fire, gases hazardous to health may be formed.

Instructions

In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes. Move containers from fire area if you can do so without risk.

Firefighter Protection

Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Keep unnecessary personnel away. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation of dust and personnel contact with skin and eyes. Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean-up.

Environmental

Avoid release to the environment.

Cleanup methods

Sweep or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal.

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Keep container tightly closed.

Storage

Store in a well-ventilated place. Store in a cool place. Store away from incompatible materials (see section 10 of the SDS).

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

It is recommended that all dust control equipment such as local exhaust ventilation and material transport systems involved in handling of this product contain explosion relief vents or an explosion suppression system or an oxygen-deficient environment. Good general ventilation (typically 10 air changes per hour) should be used. Ventilation rates should be matched to conditions. If applicable, use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to maintain airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If exposure limits have not been established, maintain airborne levels to an acceptable level.

Hands

Wear appropriate chemical resistant gloves. Nitrile gloves are recommended.

Eyes

Wear safety glasses with side shields (or goggles).

Respiratory

In case of inadequate ventilation or risk of inhalation of dust, use suitable respiratory equipment with particle filter (type P2).

Skin/Body

Wear suitable protective clothing.

Environmental

Avoid release to the environment. Environmental manager must be informed of all significant spillages.
