First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Get medical attention. If symptoms are experienced, remove source of contamination or move victim to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration.

Skin contact

In case of contact, immediately remove contaminated clothing and flush skin with copious amounts of water. If symptoms develop and persist, get medical attention. Discard any shoes or clothing items that cannot be decontaminated.

Eye contact

In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes, and seek immediate medical attention.

Ingestion

Get medical attention. DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Give one to two glasses of water or milk. Never give anything by mouth to a victim who is unconscious or is having convulsions.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water spray (fog), foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Specific hazards

Vapors are heavier than air and may travel to ignition sources and flash back. Do not pressurize, cut, heat or weld containers. Empty product containers may contain product residue. Do not reuse empty containers. Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in fires.

Instructions

In case of fire, keep containers cool with water spray.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing, such as turn-out gear. Wear full protective clothing.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Isolate the hazard area and deny entry to unnecessary and unprotected personnel.

Environmental

Do not allow product to enter sewer or waterways. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.

Cleanup methods

Absorb spill with inert material. Shovel material into appropriate container for disposal.

Materials: inert material

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid breathing vapors or mists of this product. Do not cut or weld on empty drums. Sufficient vapors from residues may be present to cause explosion and serious injury and/or death. Wash thoroughly after handling. Use proper bonding and/or grounding procedures.

Storage

Keep the container tightly closed and in a cool, well-ventilated place. Store in original container until ready to use. Protect from direct sunlight.

Hygiene

Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep out of reach of children and away from food and drink.

Fire prevention

Remove all sources of ignition. Keep away from heat, spark and flame. Ground and bond metal containers for liquid transfer to avoid static sparks.
