Suitable media

All known extinguishants can be used.

Specific hazards

The product itself does not maintain combustion.

Firefighter Protection

As in any fire, wear self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing including gloves and eye/face protection. Fire-fighters should wear clothing conforming to EN469 for chemical incidents.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Material spilled on hard surface can present a serious slipping/falling hazard.

Small spill

Absorb spill on inert material (e.g. sand, earth) and dispose of as waste material in accordance with national and regional provisions.

Large spill

Keep spectators away. Floors may be slippery; use care to avoid falling. Neutralize spill area. Dike and contain spill with inert material (e.g. sand, earth). Transfer liquid to containers for recovery or disposal and solid diking material to separate containers for disposal.

Environmental

Keep spills and cleaning runoff out of sewers and open bodies of water.

Cleanup methods

Absorb spill on inert material (e.g. sand, earth) and dispose of as waste material in accordance with national and regional provisions. Transfer liquid to containers for recovery or disposal and solid diking material to separate containers for disposal.
