First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Take victim to fresh air, in a quiet place. If necessary administer pulmonary resuscitation or oxygen, and keep warm.

Symptoms: Harmful if inhaled. May cause respiratory irritation.

Skin contact

Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash skin with plenty of water and soap.

Symptoms: Causes severe burns.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately and plentifully with water, also under the eyelids, for at least 20 minutes.

Symptoms: Corrosive to eyes.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth out with water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor.

Symptoms: Harmful if swallowed. Burns of the upper digestive and respiratory tracts.
