First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention immediately if symptoms occur.

Skin contact

Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Do not rub affected area. Get immediate medical attention. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician.

Immediate Medical Attention

Immediate medical attention is required.

Medical Treatment

Note to physicians: Treat symptomatically.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Dry chemical. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Water spray. Alcohol resistant foam.

Unsuitable media

Do not scatter spilled material with high pressure water streams.

Specific hazards

Risk of ignition. Keep product and empty container away from heat and sources of ignition.

Instructions

Large Fire: CAUTION: Use of water spray when fighting fire may be inefficient.

Firefighter Protection

Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full firefighting turnout gear. Use personal protection equipment.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Do not touch or walk through spilled material.

Environmental

Refer to protective measures listed in Sections 7 and 8. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Prevent product from entering drains.

Cleanup methods

Dam up. Soak up with inert absorbent material. Pick up and transfer to properly labeled containers.

Materials: inert absorbent material
