First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Take victim to fresh air, in a quiet place and if necessary take medical advice. If unconscious, place in the recovery position and seek medical advice.

Skin contact

Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin area with mild soap and water, followed by warm water rinse. Do not remove clothing if it sticks to the skin.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth out with water. Give water to drink.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fire. e.g. Water spray. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Alcohol resistant foam.

Unsuitable media

Strong water jet.

Specific hazards

No fire hazard (Aqueous solution). Product is not explosive.

Instructions

Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire. Cool tanks/drums with water spray/remove them into safety.

Firefighter Protection

Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Provide adequate ventilation. Wear suitable respiratory equipment in case of insufficient ventilation. Keep unprotected persons from entering.
