First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
IF INHALED: If breathing is difficult, remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
Symptoms: Coughing
IF ON SKIN: Gently wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
IF IN EYES: Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes while holding eyelids open. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Obtain prompt consultation, preferably from an ophthalmologist. Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor.
Symptoms: Causes serious eye damage.
IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell. Do NOT induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs turn patient on side. Do not give milk or alcoholic beverages. Wash out mouth with water and give 200-300 ml (half a pint) of water to drink. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
Symptoms: Vomiting, Nausea, Diarrhoea
Immediate Medical Attention
Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
Medical Treatment
Obtain prompt consultation, preferably from an ophthalmologist.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
As appropriate for surrounding fire. Foam, CO2 or dry powder.
Direct water jet may spread the fire.
Product is not classified as flammable, but will burn on contact with flame or exposure to high temperature. Forms flammable and explosive hydrogen through corrosion of metals (Aluminium), perchloric acid. Can form explosive mixture with air.
Fight fire with normal precautions from a reasonable distance. Keep containers cool by spraying with water if exposed to fire.
Firefighter Protection
Fire fighters should wear complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Caution - spillages may be slippery. Ensure operatives are trained to minimise exposures. Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of spillages. Shut off leaks if without risk. Do not breathe vapour. Avoid all contact. Do not ingest. If swallowed then seek immediate medical assistance.
Cover with absorbent or contain. Collect and dispose.
Avoid release to the environment.
Transfer to a container for disposal.

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Ensure operatives are trained to minimise exposures. Wear protective gloves/eye protection. Do not breathe vapour. Avoid all contact. Do not ingest. If swallowed then seek immediate medical assistance.
Store in a cool/low-temperature, well-ventilated (dry) place away from heat and ignition sources. Shield UV light sources.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands before breaks and after work.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Ensure adequate ventilation. Store in a cool/low-temperature, well-ventilated (dry) place away from heat and ignition sources.
Wear suitable chemical resistant protective gloves for frequent or prolonged operations tested to EN374 with an acceptable permeation test. Contaminated gloves should be carefully rinsed with water before reuse. Breakthrough time of the glove material: refer to the information provided by the gloves' producer. Recommended: Prolonged, direct contact: Nitrile rubber Minimum thickness: 0.4mm, Butyl rubber Minimum thickness: 0.3mm. Protective index 6, corresponding > 480 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374. During splash contact: Nitrile rubber Minimum thickness: 1.11mm. Protective index 6, corresponding > 480 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374.
Use eye protection according to EN 166, designed to protect against liquid splashes. Wear suitable face shield.
Respiratory protection is not necessary if room is well ventilated. In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection. A suitable mask with filter type A (EN141 or EN405) may be appropriate.
Wear impervious protective clothing, including boots, lab coat, apron or coveralls, as appropriate, to prevent skin contact.
Avoid release to the environment.

Stable under normal conditions.
Risk of explosion: Forms flammable and explosive hydrogen through corrosion of metals (Aluminium), perchloric acid. May react violently with: sodium hydroxide, Chromium (III) oxide. Exothermic reaction with alkalis. Strong exothermic reaction with acids. Hazardous polymerisation will not occur.
Avoid contact with heat and ignition sources and oxidizers. Store in a cool dry place, away from sources of heat or strong UV light
oxidizers
Combustion may cause toxic fumes. (Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide, Formaldehyde).
