First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove subject to fresh air. Give artificial respiration if breathing has stopped.

Skin contact

Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing.

Eye contact

Flush with water for 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do so.

Ingestion

If swallowed, dilute by giving 2 or more glasses of water to drink ONLY IF CONSCIOUS! Do not induce vomiting.

Immediate Medical Attention

Seek medical attention. Seek medical attention for irritation. Seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water, Foam, Carbon Dioxide, Dry Chemical, Powder.

Unsuitable media

Do NOT use high pressure Water Spray, as this may spread the fire.

Specific hazards

Closed containers may rupture via pressure build-up when exposed to fire or extreme heat. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases and/ or fumes may generate during combustion or decomposition.

Instructions

Move containers promptly out of fire zone. If removal is impossible, keep containers cool with water spray. Remain upwind and avoid breathing smoke or fumes.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Ventilate the area to dissipate vapor. Floor may be slippery; use care to avoid falling. Soak up spills with inert absorbent material. Sweep up and collect in suitable container for disposal. Avoid breathing vapor.

Environmental

Keep spills and cleaning runoff out of municipal sewers and open bodies of water.

Cleanup methods

Soak up spills with inert absorbent material. Sweep up and collect in suitable container for disposal.

Materials: inert absorbent material
