First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove victim to fresh air and get medical inspection when necessary.

Skin contact

Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash skin with plenty of soap and water.

Symptoms: skin irritate or rash

Eye contact

Rinse cautiously with plenty of water for 15 minutes.

Ingestion

First rinse mouth enough. Drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting.

Immediate Medical Attention

Get medical inspection when necessary (inhalation); seek medical attention (skin irritation or rash); get medical attention (eye contact and ingestion).

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Dry chemical powder, foam, water spray, carbon dioxide or sand.

Unsuitable media

Do not use direct water jet.

Specific hazards

Fire may release toxic gases.

Instructions

Keep fire-exposed containers cool by water spray.

Firefighter Protection

Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Evacuate all people except the cleaning operation personnel from the site. Wear proper protective equipment to avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid inhalation of gas.

Small spill

Sweep up small amounts with e.g. waste cotton.

Environmental

Do not allow the product to enter drains, water courses or soil.

Cleanup methods

Collect spillage with sand or other absorbent material. Sweep up small amounts with e.g. waste cotton. Gather waste for disposal as hazardous waste. Wash contaminated area with alkaline washing agent.

Materials: sand or other absorbent material, waste cotton

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Refer to 8. Exposure control/personal protection. It is noted enough to react with the strong acid, the amine compound, the mercaptan and base. It is noted enough that the generation of heat temperature rises, as the mixture batch scale grows. The container that has damage, corrodes, and cracks should not be used. Collect used containers in the fixed place.

Storage

Store according to regulations for combustible material. Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Store in closed container.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

In order to keep worker at exposure below statutory limits, process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls should be equipped.

Hands

Wear protective gloves

Eyes

eye protection like goggles/face protection

Respiratory

Wear hazard mask for organic and toxic gas. When necessary, to use the mask such as supplied-air respirator, self-contained breathing apparatus or oxygen breathing apparatus is recommended.

Skin/Body

protective clothing or impervious clothing
