First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove person from danger zone. Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.

Skin contact

Wash with plenty of soap and water, take off soiled clothes and shoes. After prolonged contact (accidental/forced) or any signs of skin changes, consult a doctor.

Symptoms: redness or other signs of inflammation

Eye contact

Rinse out opened eye for several minutes under running water. Consult an ophthalmologist immediately. Remove contact lenses.

Ingestion

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist consult doctor.

Immediate Medical Attention

Consult an ophthalmologist immediately (for eye contact). Consult doctor in case of complaints (inhalation, skin, or ingestion).

Medical Treatment

Information for doctor: Please observe safety data sheet/label.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions. Use carbon dioxide, extinguishing powder, water spray or alcohol-resistant foam.

Unsuitable media

Water with full jet.

Specific hazards

Combustible. Vapours are heavier than air and spread over the ground. Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire. Explosive mixtures with air are possible with strong heating.

Instructions

Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Clear the danger zone.

Environmental

Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water.

Cleanup methods

Pick up mechanically.

Hands

Protective gloves. Labsolute®Nitril green. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation. Material of gloves: NBR: Acrylonitrile butadiene rubber. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed. Level 6 for applications > 480 min
