Bij een bewusteloos persoon nooit iets via de mond toedienen. Mond grondig spoelen met water. 1 of 2 glazen water drinken. GEEN braken opwekken.
Medical Treatment
Wanneer blootgesteld aan vocht of water, wordt door hydrolyse een kleine hoeveelheden methanol (CAS 67-56-1) gevormd. De symptomen behandelen.

Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Zorg voor voldoende ventilatie, met name in besloten ruimten.
Draag geschikte handschoenen. Aanbevolen gebruik: Neopreen™. Nytrilrubber. Butylrubber. Dikte van de handschoenen > 0,7 mm. De penetratie tijd van het genoemde handschoenmateriaal is groter dan 480 minuten. Ervoor zorgen dat de doorbraaktijd van het handschoenmateriaal niet wordt overschreden. Handschoenleverancier raadplegen voor informatie over doorbraaktijd voor specifieke handschoenen. Handschoenen moeten voldoen aan norm EN 374.
Veiligheidsbril met zij-afscherming (of stofbril) dragen. Oogbescherming moet voldoen aan norm EN 166.
Bij ontoereikende ventilatie adembescherming dragen. Ademhalingsbescherming dragen die voldoet aan EN 140 met filtertype A/P2 of beter. Zorgen voor voldoende ventilatie, met name in besloten ruimten. Aanbevolen filtertype: Filter voor organische gassen en dampen conform EN 114387. Wit. Bruin.
