First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove from exposure, rest and keep warm. Obtain medical attention for symptoms of difficulty in breathing.

Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing and wash the skin thoroughly with soap and water or a recognised cleaner. If the contaminated area is widespread and/or there is damage to the skin, a doctor must be consulted or the patient transferred to hospital

Eye contact

Wash thoroughly with plenty of clean water. If there is any redness, pain or visual impairment, consult an ophthalmologist.

Ingestion

Wash out mouth thoroughly with water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately, showing the label.

Immediate Medical Attention

Obtain medical attention for symptoms of difficulty in breathing (inhalation). If there is any redness, pain or visual impairment, consult an ophthalmologist (eye contact). If the contaminated area is widespread and/or there is damage to the skin, a doctor must be consulted or the patient transferred to hospital (skin contact).
