Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Adapt extinguishing media to the environment.

Unsuitable media

No unsuitable extinguishing media known.

Specific hazards

On burning: release of toxic and corrosive gases/vapours (sulphur oxides, carbon monoxide - carbon dioxide) and formation of small quantities of nitrous vapours.

Instructions

Dilute toxic gases with water spray. Take account of toxic/corrosive precipitation water.

Firefighter Protection

Wear Gloves, Face-shield, Protective clothing. In case of heat/fire exposure, use compressed air/oxygen apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Environmental

Contain released substance, pump into suitable containers. Plug the leak, cut off the supply.

Cleanup methods

Take up liquid spill into inert absorbent material. Scoop absorbed substance into closing containers. Clean contaminated surfaces with an excess of water. Wash clothing and equipment after handling.

Materials: inert absorbent material, e.g.: sand/earth
