First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove the victim into fresh air. Respiratory problems: consult a doctor/medical service.

Symptoms: No effects known.

Skin contact

Wash immediately with lots of water. Take victim to a doctor if irritation persists.

Symptoms: Tingling/irritation of the skin.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Do not apply neutralizing agents. Take victim to an ophthalmologist.

Symptoms: Corrosion of the eye tissue. Inflammation/damage of the eye tissue.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth with water. Immediately after ingestion: give lots of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Consult a doctor/medical service if you feel unwell.

Symptoms: No effects known.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Adapt extinguishing media to the environment.

Unsuitable media

No unsuitable extinguishing media known.

Specific hazards

On burning: release of toxic and corrosive gases/vapours (sulphur oxides, carbon monoxide - carbon dioxide) and formation of small quantities of nitrous vapours.

Instructions

Dilute toxic gases with water spray. Take account of toxic/corrosive precipitation water.

Firefighter Protection

Gloves. Face-shield. Protective clothing. Heat/fire exposure: compressed air/oxygen apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Contain released substance, pump into suitable containers. Plug the leak, cut off the supply.

Environmental

Contain released substance, pump into suitable containers. Plug the leak, cut off the supply.

Cleanup methods

Take up liquid spill into inert absorbent material, e.g.: sand/earth. Scoop absorbed substance into closing containers. Clean contaminated surfaces with an excess of water.

Materials: inert absorbent material, e.g.: sand/earth
