Instructions

Avoid breathing the vapours; if necessary, cool down the closed containers by water aspersion after removing them from fire area.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Limit the dispersion of the product. Avoid flames and other sources of ignition.

Large spill

The major spilling must be absorbed with inert materials which should then be swept away and destroyed according to the regulations in force.

Environmental

Prevent any seeping into sewers or waterways.

Cleanup methods

Discard tissues, sponges etc...used to absorb the spillings and destroy by incineration (risk of spontaneous ignition). The major spilling must be absorbed with inert materials which should then be swept away and destroyed according to the regulations in force.

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

do not ingest as such, avoid contact with the product, do not smoke in areas where the product is handled, do not heat with direct flame nor expose the vapours to a flame or any source of ignition. Handle products in well ventilated areas. When incorporating the product to the production batch, it must be kept at a relatively low temperature. When the temperature needs to be increased, it should be done in a limited way and for the shortest possible time. Do not inhale warm vapours.

Storage

Store in closed containers, away from heat sources, protected from excessive temperature (see technical data sheet). Do not re-use empty containers.

Hygiene

do not ingest as such, avoid contact with the product, do not smoke in areas where the product is handled

Fire prevention

do not heat with direct flame nor expose the vapours to a flame or any source of ignition.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Provide an appropriate ventilation. If necessary, extract vapours directly from the emission source.
