First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Take casualty away from the area of exposure to a well ventilated one. If conscious, make the casualty lie or sit down quietly. If breathing becomes rapid, place in sitting-up position and give oxygen if available. Obtain medical assistance if symptoms persist. If unconscious, place casualty in the recovery position. Monitor pulse and breathing. If breathing has failed or is deemed inadequate, respiration must be assisted, preferably by mouth-to-mouth method.
Symptoms: breathing becomes rapid
Remove contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly the affected area with soap and water. If redness or soreness persist, seek medical attention.
Symptoms: redness or soreness
Wash eye thoroughly with plenty of running water. If irritation persists, obtain medical attention.
Symptoms: irritation
Rinse the mouth with water. If the casualty is conscious, give him / her water to drink and induce vomiting. First aid to inhalation is applicable too. Seek medical assistance.
Immediate Medical Attention
Obtain medical assistance if symptoms persist.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Fire extinguisher for Class “D” must be used.
Never use water or CO2.
The risk of explosion is associated with high temperatures. A build-up of dust may produce explosive atmospheres. May react with water or chemicals and generate H2 (explosive gas).
Firefighter Protection
Self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Not applicable to product as supplied. Prevent the spilled products from reaching the riverbeds or contaminating the grounds.
Remove dust by use of a suitable vacuum cleaner.
