First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Keep at rest. Move to fresh air. Consult a physician if necessary.

Symptoms: Inhalation of high vapour concentrations may cause symptoms like headache, dizziness, tiredness, nausea and vomiting.

Skin contact

After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Consult a physician if necessary.

Symptoms: May be irritating. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Consult a physician if necessary.

Symptoms: Irritating to eyes.

Ingestion

Engineering

Ensure adequate ventilation. Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation.

Hands

Nitrile rubber, Polyvinyl alcohol, Rubber gloves, Neoprene gloves . (EN374) The selection of specific gloves for a specific application and time of use in a working area, should also take into account other factors on the working space, such as (but not limited to): other chemicals that are possibly used, physical requirements (protection against cutting/drilling, skill, thermal protection), and the instructions/specification of the supplier of gloves.

Eyes

Safety glasses with side-shields, Goggles (EN 166)

Respiratory

In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory equipment. Respirator with a full face mask (EN 136) Respirator with a half face mask (EN 140) Recommended Filter type: A - EN 141

Skin/Body

Overalls, apron and boots recommended.
