First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician. If unconscious, place in recovery position and seek medical advice.

Symptoms: CNS-depression and narcosis.

Skin contact

Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician.

Symptoms: Dries out the skin.

Eye contact

Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. Consult a physician.

Ingestion

If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Risk of aspiration! Call a physician immediately. If a person vomits when lying on his back, place him in the recovery position.

Symptoms: Risk of aspiration! Risk of serious damage to the lungs (by aspiration). Aspiration may cause pulmonary oedema and pneumonitis.

Immediate Medical Attention

Call a physician immediately if swallowed. Seek medical advice if unconscious after inhalation. Consult a physician for eye contact or if symptoms persist after inhalation/skin contact.
