Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Call a physician or poison control center immediately.

Symptoms: Product dust may be irritating to skin. Hypersensitivity to sulphiting agents., A very small percentage of particularly sensitive people may suffer skin reactions.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a physician or poison control center immediately.

Symptoms: Product dust may be irritating to eyes.

Ingestion

Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth. Call a physician or poison control center immediately.

Immediate Medical Attention

Call a physician or poison control center immediately.

Medical Treatment

Appropriate supportive and symptomatic treatment as indicated by the patient's condition is recommended.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable media

High volume water jet

Specific hazards

In the event of fire the following may be released: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen oxides (NOx), Oxides of phosphorus

Instructions

Keep out of smoke. Fight fire from upwind position. Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray.

Firefighter Protection

In the event of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes. In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Avoid dust formation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation.

Storage

Store in original container. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Store in a place accessible by authorized persons only. Keep away from direct sunlight. Protect from freezing.

Hygiene

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Keep working clothes separately. Wash hands immediately after work, if necessary take a shower. Remove soiled clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again. Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt).

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Respiratory protection should only be used to control residual risk of short duration activities, when all reasonably practicable steps have been taken to reduce exposure at source e.g. containment and/or local extract ventilation.

Hands

Material: Nitrile rubber; Rate of permeability: > 480 min; Glove thickness: > 0.4 mm; Directive: Protective gloves complying with EN 374.

Eyes

Wear goggles (conforming to EN166, Field of Use = 5 or equivalent).

Respiratory

Wear respirator with a particle filter mask (protection factor 4) conforming to European norm EN149FFP1 or equivalent.

Skin/Body

Wear standard coveralls and Category 3 Type 5 suit. Wear two layers of clothing wherever possible. Polyester/cotton or cotton overalls should be worn under chemical protection suit and should be professionally laundered frequently.
