First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Supply fresh air and call for doctor for safety reasons. In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side position for transport.

Skin contact

Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

Eye contact

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.

Ingestion

Rinse out mouth. In case of persistent symptoms consult doctor.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

CO2, extinguishing powder or water haze. Fight larger fires with water haze or alcohol-resistant foam. Use fire fighting measures that suit the environment.

Unsuitable media

Water with a full water jet.

Specific hazards

Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.

Instructions

Cool endangered containers with water spray jet.

Firefighter Protection

Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Put on breathing apparatus. Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.

Environmental

Do not allow to enter drainage system, surface or ground water. Do not allow product to reach sewage system or water bodies.

Cleanup methods

Send for recovery or disposal in suitable containers.

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Open and handle container with care. Ensure good interior ventilation, especially at floor level. (Fumes are heavier than air).

Storage

Pressurized container: protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C, i.e. electric lights. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not spray on flames or red-hot objects.

Fire prevention

Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Protect against electrostatic charges.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

No further data; see item 7.

Hands

Protective gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/ the preparation/ the chemical mixture. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation. Material of gloves: Wear suitable gloves tested to EN 374. Nitrile rubber, NBR. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. As the product is a preparation of several substances, the resistance of the glove material can not be calculated in advance and has therefore to be checked prior to the application. Penetration time of glove material: Value for the permeation: Level 6 > 480 minutes. The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

Eyes

Safety glasses (EN 166)

Respiratory

Only during spraying without adequate removal by suction. A1 / P1 (EN14387)

Skin/Body

Protective work clothing (EN-13034/6)
