Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use dry chemical, CO2, water spray or "alcohol" foam.

Unsuitable media

Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.

Specific hazards

Incomplete combustion may produce small amounts of Carbon monoxide

Instructions

Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.

Firefighter Protection

In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Environmental

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Cleanup methods

Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents). Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).

Materials: sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents, silica gel, sawdust
