Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Conventional extinguishing media are suitable: nebulised water, foam, dry chemical.

Unsuitable media

Do not use water jets.

Specific hazards

combustion products can be toxic or dangerous

Instructions

Use jets of water to cool the containers to prevent product decomposition and development of substances that could be dangerous to health.

Firefighter Protection

In case of fire or combustion wear self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and protective clothing. Always wear full fire prevention gear.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Use adequate equipment if fumes or powders are released into the air. Do not walk over granules if product is released on the floor to avoid slipping.

Environmental

Do not sweep or flush product into sewers or waterways.

Cleanup methods

Sweep up carefully and place into a container for reuse or disposal. Collect released granules using mechanical devices or aspirators.

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Protect from humidity and from temperatures above 40 °C. Store the containers closed and distant from containers of ketonic solvents that, if released, can swell the material. Conduct any operation emitting fumes or vapours (melt processing, pre-drying, post curing) under well ventilated conditions.

Storage

Protect from humidity and from temperatures above 40 °C. Store the containers closed and distant from containers of ketonic solvents.
