First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove patient from contaminated area and allow to have plenty of fresh air. Obtain medical assistance and treat symptomatically.

Skin contact

Remove any contaminated clothing. Wash the affected area thoroughly with copious amounts of soapy water. If removal cannot be effected by these means, a mild solvent such as isopropanol may be used followed by copious amounts of soapy water.

Eye contact

Wash eyes with flowing water for ten minutes gently prising open eyelids to ensure efficient washing. All eye injuries from chemicals should be seen by a doctor.

Ingestion

Do NOT induce vomiting except in the presence of, or on the orders of a doctor. Seek medical help and take this data sheet. If chemical is confined to the mouth then wash out mouth and do not allow patient to swallow mouth wash. If patient is conscious then give water to drink to dilute the chemical in the stomach. If unconscious then put patient in recovery position.

Immediate Medical Attention

All eye injuries from chemicals should be seen by a doctor. Seek medical help and take this data sheet.

Medical Treatment

The hazardous materials to be taken into account for medical treatment are detailed in Section 2 'Composition/Information on ingredients' of this Safety Data Sheet. Treat symptomatically.
