First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Remove from exposure, lie down. Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim ingested or inhaled the substance; give artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device. Get medical attention. Risk of serious damage to the lungs (by aspiration).
Symptoms: Difficulty in breathing. Inhalation of high vapor concentrations may cause symptoms like headache, dizziness, tiredness, nausea and vomiting
Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
Do NOT induce vomiting. Get medical attention. Call a physician or poison control center immediately. If vomiting occurs naturally, have victim lean forward.
Immediate Medical Attention
Get medical attention.
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Water spray. Carbon dioxide (CO₂). Dry chemical. Chemical foam. Water mist may be used to cool closed containers.
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
Flammable. Vapors may travel to source of ignition and flash back. Containers may explode when heated. Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air.
Water mist may be used to cool closed containers.
Firefighter Protection
As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
See Section 12 for additional Ecological Information.
Soak up with inert absorbent material. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Materials: inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust)

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Wear personal protective equipment/face protection. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Avoid breathing vapors or mists. Do not ingest. If swallowed then seek immediate medical assistance. Use spark-proof tools and explosion-proof equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Ensure adequate ventilation. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. To avoid ignition of vapors by static electricity discharge, all metal parts of the equipment must be grounded.
Keep in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Flammables area.
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Remove and wash contaminated clothing and gloves, including the inside, before re-use. Wash hands before breaks and after work.
Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. To avoid ignition of vapors by static electricity discharge, all metal parts of the equipment must be grounded.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/lighting/equipment. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location. Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. Wherever possible, engineering control measures such as the isolation or enclosure of the process, the introduction of process or equipment changes to minimise release or contact, and the use of properly designed ventilation systems, should be adopted to control hazardous materials at source
Protective gloves. Glove material: Nitrile rubber, Viton (R). Breakthrough time: See manufacturers recommendations. EU standard: EN 374. Glove comments: (minimum requirement).
Wear safety glasses with side shields (or goggles) (European standard - EN 166)
No protective equipment is needed under normal use conditions. Large scale/emergency use: Use a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 136 approved respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or other symptoms are experienced. Small scale/Laboratory use: Maintain adequate ventilation
Wear appropriate protective gloves and clothing to prevent skin exposure. Inspect gloves before use. observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. (Refer to manufacturer/supplier for information) gloves are suitable for the task: Chemical compatibility, Dexterity, Operational conditions, User susceptibility, e.g. sensitisation effects, also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used, such as the danger of cuts, abrasion. gloves with care avoiding skin contamination.
